Full job description
We are looking for a skilled Software Test Engineer to work on. As a software test engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating software functions and designing test protocols to ensure that products work as intended. You will also be responsible for completing all testing procedures, suggesting performance changes, and preparing performance reports for the development managers.
To ensure success as a software test engineer, you should have advanced software design and engineering knowledge, a good eye for detail, and a natural gift for software troubleshooting.
You should be able to identify even the smallest flaws in software designs and suggest simple yet effective fixes.
You will be responsible for developing automated testing strategies and implementing them in industry-standard testing frameworks.
You should have automated testing expertise and oversight, which also play a role in providing advice and guidance and monitoring emerging technologies.
Responsibilities:
1. Meeting with development managers to discuss software specifications and controls.
2. Using the software as intended to analyze its functional properties.
3. Designing manual and automated test procedures to evaluate each software product.
4. Building, coding, and implementing software evaluation test programs.
5. Running test programs to ensure that testing protocols evaluate the software correctly.
6. Tweaking the software testing systems for maximum performance.
7. Finalizing and documenting testing procedures.
8. Completing final tests and creating test reports.
9. Presenting test reports to management and suggesting software fixes.
Skills:
You should have the following skills:
- Combination of industry-related professional experience and education Jest, Enzyme, Mocha and Puppeteer
- Min 3+ years of working experience
- Experience with software test tools and processes, building and testing frameworks, and consumer-facing applications and APIs
- In-depth knowledge of program testing software including Bugzilla and HP LoadRunner.
- Advanced knowledge of debugging codes and software development languages.
- Knowledge of Selenium WDIO, Selenium GridHub, and WebPack
- Experience in software development and/or testing
- Experience in automated testing frameworks
- Experience with scripting and configuration tools
- Knowledge of delivering products in an engineering, operations, or release role
- Working knowledge of development Agile lifecycle methodologies and CD/CI
