Role: Solar O&M Technician
Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Solar O&M Technician to join our team and oversee the
operation and maintenance of solar energy systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible
for ensuring the optimal performance of solar installations by performing regular
maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and providing solutions to enhance system efficiency.
This role requires a strong technical background in solar energy systems and the ability to
work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
1.System Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance, cleaning, and
inspection of solar power systems to ensure maximum performance and lifespan.
2. Troubleshooting & Repairs: Identify and diagnose issues in solar panels, inverters,
electrical systems, and other components of solar installations. Perform repairs or
replacements as necessary.
3. System Monitoring: Monitor system performance and address any discrepancies in
output or operation. Use monitoring software to track system efficiency and identify
issues proactively.
4. Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to customers on
operational issues, system performance, and troubleshooting.
5. Installation Support: Assist in the installation and commissioning of new solar
systems and components, ensuring they are set up according to design specifications
and standards.
6. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed service records, logs of maintenance
activities, and reports on system performance. Provide regular updates to
management on the condition of systems and any necessary repairs or
improvements.
7. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and ensure that all work complies
with relevant regulations, industry standards, and safety procedures.
8. Training & Development: Stay up to date on the latest technologies in solar energy
and participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge in solar system
operations and maintenance
Qualifications:
1. Technical diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or
related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and
troubleshooting of solar power systems.
3. Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, electrical systems, and related
equipment.
4. Ability to use monitoring tools and software to assess system performance.
5. Basic knowledge of electrical safety standards and procedures.
6. Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
7. Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with clients and team
members.
8. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
