Job Description
We are seeking an experienced system administrator with expertise in managing high-availability enterprise hosting environments, specifically utilizing Linux and Solaris platforms.
The ideal candidate will possess expert skills in current and recent versions of Linux (RHEL, CentOS), including patch management, SELinux, Podman, containers, LVM, LV snapshots, and NFS.
Additionally, the candidate should have in-depth knowledge of Sun Solaris 11, including zones, ZFS, LDOMs, and SMF.
Expertise in Veritas Infoscale VCS and PCS is also essential, along with proficiency in creating, maintaining, and modifying scripts using ksh, bash, and sh.
A strong understanding of monitoring tools such as Site24x7, backup solutions like Dell Networker and DataDomain, and best practices for SAN disk systems (IBM V7000) is also required.
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience working in a 24x7 high availability environment and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain Linux and Solaris servers in a high-availability enterprise hosting environment.
• Implement and monitor security policies using SELinux and other security measures.
• Develop and implement efficient storage solutions using ZFS and LVM.
• Design and implement disaster recovery and backup strategies using Veritas Infoscale VCS and PCS.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless operation of the infrastructure and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
