As a Solution Architect , you will play a pivotal role in delivering critical insights that shape strategic decisions and enhance national security.
To succeed in this endeavour, you will:
Perform complex ICT service provision work within an integrated workforce under broad direction, ensuring alignment with Defence outcomes.
Identify, anticipate, and respond to stakeholder needs to achieve work unit and Defence goals.
Provide governance services to support the ICT Technical Assurance Framework and ensure alignment with approved patterns and best practices.
Review architecture and technical system design documentation, contributing to strategic technology programs and liaising with stakeholders.
Drive modernization of the centralised processing platform, enhancing the efficiency of technology platforms and systems within Defence.
Offer expert advice on private and hybrid cloud technologies, software-defined data centre architectures, automation, orchestration, DevOps methodologies, and security practices.
Lead and guide adherence to information assurance architectures, strategies, policies, standards, and guidelines to meet Defence strategic requirements.

Our work is highly complex and confidential, so there are some things you must have to fulfil this role:
You must have and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
Significant experience in a similar role, preferably within a professional services firm or the Defence industry.
Extensive experience in ICT service provision and governance, including working within integrated and complex environments.
Proven ability to review and align architecture and technical system design with best practices and approved patterns.
Strong background in cloud technologies, data centre architectures, automation, DevOps methodologies, containerisation (e.g., Kubernetes), and end-user compute services.
Demonstrated experience in engaging with diverse stakeholders and providing strategic advice to ensure adherence to governance frameworks and Defence requirements.
More than anything, you’ll bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a drive to manage critical projects and programs that build sovereign capability and deliver complex things that matter.
