Solution Architect
Location – Greater Sydney Area / Parramatta
Employment type – Ongoing Full-Time, 35 hours per week
Grade – Clerk Grade 11/12
Salary – $149,739 pa - $173,174 pa plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
As a Solution Architect, you’ll design and deliver technology solutions that meet business requirements while aligning with enterprise architecture standards. You’ll provide expert advice, create detailed solution specifications, and collaborate with project teams, analysts, and vendors to ensure successful delivery. Reporting to the Solution Architect Manager, you’ll maintain governance, reduce duplication, and support efficient, scalable, and innovative ICT initiatives across the organisation.
What you’ll do
Join the Solution Architecture Team to design and deliver fit-for-purpose, compliant technology solutions. You will:
Capture and evaluate solution requirements
Develop artefacts and present for architecture approval
Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors on best-fit solutions
Define integrations and enhance user experience
Ensure security, governance, and compliance
Provide technical guidance across projects
Balance competing priorities and stakeholder needs
Work in a supportive, experienced team with flexible hybrid work—two days from home weekly to support work-life balance.
What we’re looking for
We’re seeking a Solution Architect with broad expertise across infrastructure, applications, cloud, networking, security, and information management.
Ideal candidates will have:
Experience with hybrid Cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and on-prem deployments
Strong business acumen, workshop facilitation, and cost estimation skills
Expertise in technology research, RfX participation, and solution impact assessments
Excellent communication and documentation skills for architecture artefacts
Preferred: Azure/AWS/security certifications, SAP, Power BI, Salesforce, Pega, Dynamics
Preferred: Middleware integration experience (e.g., Mulesoft) across diverse technical landscapes
