• Role: Solution Architect - Payments Value Stream
Function: CIO
Salary: Competitive salary plus generous benefits package
Location: Edinburgh, Bristol, London or Gloucester - hybrid working

How You’ll Make a Difference
This role will be responsible for designing and implementing payments technology solutions. Working closely with stakeholders, including business leaders, project managers, and other architects, to ensure that technology solutions are aligned with the overall enterprise architecture. You’ll evaluate new technologies and make recommendations on which ones to adopt and how to integrate them into existing systems. Additionally, you’ll ensure that systems are secure, reliable, and scalable. You will have responsibility for ART/Feature Teams and Ideally have worked in a Scaled Agile context.
What you’ll bring
• Operating at Senior Solution Architecture level, specifically within UK low value domestic Payments scheme implementation (Faster Payments, NPA, BACS)
• Ideally SEPA and SEPA instant payments experience too
• ISO-20022 data modelling
• Experience designing Payments solutions covering - fraud, sanctions screening, case management, Treasury, Reconciliation, API gateway design
• Familiar with UK Payments vendor community, have connections and worked with pay.uk and UK Finance entities
• Experience of Cloud Architecture, ideally certified in AWS to Solution Architect level
• Experience of designing event driven microservices architecture
• Strong communication and presentation skills with stakeholders and demonstrable decision making
