Solution Architect, Solution Engineering (Java) – Pune, MH

We recently launched digital banks and wallets in multiple markets to enhance our customers’ experiences with a cutting-edge digital Ecosystem. As the senior Software Engineer in the Integrations Engineering team, your primary responsibility will be to establish core digital banking and wallet solutions globally, while also mentoring and providing help to other junior Engineers.
Role Responsibilities
• Microservices development using Java Spring Boot framework and other API enhancements on the middleware platforms for the assigned region.
• Demonstrate strong capabilities in assessing business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards
• Execute to success through diligent planning, attention to detail, effective delegation, and efficient decision-making
• Interface and collaborate with other engineers in geographically distributed development centers
• Strong emphasis on customer journey, product quality, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and continuous development
• Develop technical & domain expertise and apply in solving product challenges
• Thorough code reviews
• Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and roll out applications with cross-functional and cross-regional impacts
• Share engineering support and release
• Be a culture champion on the team and across the company
Role Requirements
• 7+ Strong hands-on experience building applications using Java, Spring Boot framework, Cassandra DB or similar databases, Multithreading, serialization, Externalization, Collections, etc.
• Ability to lead technology projects and mentor junior associates
• Experience in Core Banking systems and integrations a plus
• Experience with J2EE technologies, JDBC, ORM, JAXB, DevOps tools, Kafka
• Experience with APIs, REST/JSON, Microservices, XML, XSLT, etc
• Someone with a proven track record of writing high quality, efficient code to build new microservices that orchestrate various system functionalities
• Experience solving functional product needs by effectively leveraging open-source technologies
• Experience with agile development methodologies with Test Driven Development (TDD) and CI (Continuous Integration)/CD (Continuous Delivery)
• Proven ability to understand the business and ability to contribute to technology direction that drives measurable business improvements.
• Experience with unit testing and mocking frameworks
• Ability to evaluate business needs and achieve alignment among stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for managing both direct and indirect talent effectively.
• Strong technical skills in architecture patterns, solutions design & development.
• Proven ability to understand the business and ability to contribute to technology direction that drives measurable business improvements
• Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, OOPs, and OOA/D
• Hands-on experience in designing and building a microservices based architecture and platform developed and deployed at scale Hands-on experience in building a microservices based architecture and platform developed and deployed at scale.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, iterative development environment and adapt to changing business priorities and to thrive under pressure
• Team player with strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
