What you'll do
We’ll look to you to lead the collaboration across platform and domain teams on the solution delivery. Partnering with platform and domain teams, you’ll elaborate the solution and its interfaces, validating technology assumptions, and evaluating implementation alternatives.
You’ll also lead the analysis of options and deliver end-to-end solution designs that use the relevant building blocks, as well as producing designs for features that allow frequent incremental delivery of customer value.
On top of this, you’ll be:
• Owning the technical design issues and driving resolution through the iteration of the technical solution design
• Leading activities to shape requirements and validating designs and prototypes to deliver changes that align with the target architecture
• Promoting adaptive design practices to drive the collaboration of feature teams around a common technical vision by using continuous feedback
• Making recommendations of potential impacts to existing and prospective customers of the latest technology and customer trends
• Taking ownership of the overall solution design and maximising the reuse of existing business and technical functionalities
The skills you'll need
To be successful in this role, you'll have at least 12 years' experience of IT and knowledge of DevOps and Agile methodologies. We'll need you to have experience of technical leadership in a platform context, including of managing technical health and designing for releases and technical roadmaps.
As well as this, you'll have application development experience of designing highly-scalable and available systems and high performing databases with extremely high transaction and storage requirements.
On top of this, you’ll bring:
• Cross-platform services development experience with a good understanding of SOAP, REST, JSON, WSDL, XML, DTD and XSD
• A background of delivering solutions that securely span a complex infrastructure domain
• Experience of the systems development change lifecycles, best practices and approaches
• Knowledge of hardware, software, applications and systems engineering
• The ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to peers and leadership level colleagues
