Job Description
Job Purpose:
• Working closely with the Enterprise Architects and business leaders, the role holder will lead discussions on technical decisions regarding the technology solutions being deployed, and how they impact the business outcomes.
• Examine the current systems architecture, and work with business and Tech staff to drive consistent application architecture across the enterprise and different platforms in the bank.
• Build solutions for scale, performance, throughput, manageability, traceability, availability and fault tolerance.
• Define engineering strategies and roadmap, provide key technology solutions basis business priorities within cross-functional teams and make smart and data driven decisions to have the biggest business impact.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture, business experts, and technology teams to flesh out functional and technical requirements, produce data and security blueprints, map out architecture and integration designs, and develop proofs of concept that blaze the way for implementation teams.
• Own definition of the target end-to-end solution architecture and transitional roadmap while accommodating for stated business goals. This includes hands-on design and reviews moving towards a highly modular, reusable and scalable stack.
• Communicate and document technical solutions and design tradeoffs effectively to business stakeholders.
• Comprehensively design how multiple applications are expected to work together. This involves defining the interaction between application packages, databases, and middleware systems in terms of functional and technical capabilities.
Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues
Lead the design of core, backend and frontend software components.
• Scrutinize system design constraints to analyze alternatives, mitigate risks, and conduct process re-engineering as necessary.
• Drive application & technical architecture modernization to ensure scalability, data consistency, speed of access, appropriate monitoring & instrumentation
• Create deployment strategies for existing and new services based on business objectives.
• Work with application delivery teams in the development of services, components, standards, and frameworks and provide direction as the teams implement major solutions.
• Top notch communication skills with the ability to explain complex system interactions including data flows, integrations, and infrastructure to stakeholders that range from developers to executives.
• Perform random code reviews to provide crucial feedback for quality development.
• Mentor and lead technical team members to enable their growth and success.

• Assists in the analysis of new and existing architectures to ensure engineering platforms meet business requirements.
• Assists in the design of overall system and solution architecture, system integration, and implementation strategy to deliver an integrated solution

Qualifications: B.E/B.Tech or MS/ M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline.
Minimum Number of Years: 12+ years of experience designing and implementing large scale distributed solutions;
4+ years end-to-end architecture & implementation experience
Functional Area: The desired candidate must have
• Demonstrated 10-15 years' experience as a technical specialist.
• 5+ years of experience as a solution architect design and implementation of cloud native solutions.
• Experience in designing and troubleshooting low latency, fault tolerant, highly scalable distributed systems.
• Experience in building frameworks using Java Spring Boot/ Micronaut/ Quarkus for massively parallel processing platforms over Unix.
• Experience in managing large scale systems using Microservices, having exposure to building as per OpenAPI specifications.
• Previous success in designing, developing large-scale data intensive applications using Streaming (Kafka, Kinesis), RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL etc.), NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra etc.).
• Conceptual understanding of building critical software for ++.++% availability, high performance, reliability and self-healing platforms.
• Strong presentation and written communication skills; high degree of comfort with technical and business audiences.
• Ability to act in a consultative manner with both business and IT leaders to align strategy
• Exposure to Agile, DevOps/ DevSecOps, building CI/CD pipelines.
• Good overall understanding of Application, Data, Infrastructure and security aspects; attention to non-functional aspects like Performance, Scalability, Reliability and Availability
