We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to join our team.
The successful candidate will work with our federal government client to provide expert policy advice and develop, implement, and review policies and procedures relevant to ICT business management.
You will exercise sound decision-making and judgement, have in-depth knowledge of the ICT business management function, and be responsible for complex problem solving and issues management.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and producing solution designs, systems views, and architectures using logical models of components and interfaces to meet business requirements.
Overseeing and coordinating multiple teams developing and producing solutions designs and systems specifications to meet user requirements and business needs.
Demonstrating detailed research and analysis skills in support of solutions design activities and the development of options to achieve required business outcomes.
Maintaining knowledge and expertise in Defence systems and the operating environment to ensure that solution designs are integrated and meet business needs.
Building and sustaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including other teams, peers, and colleagues across Defence and other organisations.
Motivating and mentoring teams, aligning complementary skills and allocating resources to deliver results.
Assessing and measuring projects to understand critical factors for success, identifying issues and risks, and developing supporting risk mitigation strategies.
Analysing and measuring very complex solution design issues, applying expertise to identify and recommend courses of action and implementation of strategies.
Accountable for accurate completion of work within timeframes and quality requirements, sharing own expertise with others and guiding and mentoring less experienced employees.
Demonstrating and applying knowledge of project planning in relation to scope, time, quality, communications, and risk management for solution design and project implementation activities.
Requirements:
At least 3 years' experience in a Solution Architect or similar role.
Strong leadership experience and skill as a technical leader.
Excellent organisational, communication, and negotiation skills.
Experience providing technical directions to projects delivering complex software solutions.
Excellent understanding and demonstrated application of current architectural design patterns, standards, technologies, and techniques, including Architectural frameworks such as To GAF or similar models.
Knowledge and experience in cloud architectural best practices.
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related fields.
Location: ACT, NSW, QLD, VIC, Perth
Security Clearance: NV1 security clearance and above
