Job Summary: The Architect III performs discipline responsibilities within Project and Departmental Budgets. Architect is accountable technically and administratively to the Department Manager as well as Project Managers for successfully executing the architectural group's work. Architects are expected to serve in the role of Project Discipline Lead to execute several projects of different sizes simultaneously. This position will have a focus on pharmaceutical market projects. Job Responsibilities: Work closely with other discipline Project Leads, Architects, Engineers and Designers to deliver technically correct and graphically complete project documents including drawings and sketches. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Provide clear and concise directions to Architectural team members on projects in which the Architect serves as Project Discipline Lead. Take responsibility for layout and detailing of architectural projects. Independently coordinate the work of a multidiscipline team through multiple phases of a project; proactively request information needed to progress your work as well as inform others of information they need to complete their work. Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance. Conduct work sessions at project site in conjunction with Project Manager and other disciplines. Coordinate the workload of team members through multiple phases to complete documents on schedule and within budget. Prepare and update (on a weekly basis) project workplan/forecast. Review architectural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines. Write and edit architectural specifications and reports. Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with construction bulletins, requests for information. Review construction phase submittals. Attend and lead project and discipline/department meetings as required. Ensure conformance of the discipline's work with customers and Salas O’Brien standards and practices. Manage the issuance of documents for quality control through the department and office. Job Requirements: Familiarity in areas of pharmaceutical projects is required. Fundamental mastery of bolthires Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Proficient with Revit and familiarity with related tools and processes. The ability to produce rough sketches to communicate ideas and concepts to clients and project team. Work Independently within a fast paced remote or hybrid environment. Knowledgeable in Architectural details and standards. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated graphic presentation skills. Must have experience in preparation and layout of architectural contract documents and specifications. Consumer Goods, Food & Beverage or Chemicals Industries Facilities experience a plus. Comfortable with remote or hybrid work environment. An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our culture is a must. Education/Experience/Licensure: Bachelor of Science in Architecture or Master of Architecture Registered Architect with NCARB 8+ years’ experience with a focus on the pharmaceutical market Experience in sustainable solutions LEED Accreditation helpful Location: United States; remote Compensation: $100,000.00 - 120,000.00 Travel: Averages about 20% annually, travel to client sites and other work-related events as business needs dictate. Physical Requirements: Frequently required to sit at a desk/workstation for long periods of time. Ability to work at a computer terminal for extended periods of time. Light Lifting up to 20 lbs. Ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction. Ability to speak to and hear clients via phone or in person. Body motor skills sufficient to enable incumbent to move around an office environment. Ability to analyze unique situations and develop appropriate responses. AS A SNOWFLAKE SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT YOU WILL :
• Directly engage with customers individually or as part of a technical delivery team
• Oversee and advise on the implementation of the customers Snowflake platform
• Demonstrate technical leadership through personally developed code, solution architectures and implementation recommendations
• Act as a trusted advisor to customer executive leadership for thought leadership and solution approaches
• Extract business requirements from customers and translate them into a well-architected recommendation
• Develop and provide forward looking guidance and future state roadmaps
• Leverage known best practices and solutions to reduce risk to customer implementations
• Decompose future state goals into actionable execution plans
• Collaborate with Snowflake GTM and product teams to ensure customer alignment to Snowflake goals
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR A SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT WILL HAVE :
• BA/BS in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a solutions architect, data architect, database administrator, or data engineer
• 3 years of technical consulting experience
• Experience in a lead role for analytics projects for large enterprises
• Experience implementing and operating Snowflake centric solutions
• Understanding of complete data analytics stack and workflow, from ETL to data platform design to BI and analytics tools
• Familiarity with industry common BI and ETL solutions
• Hands-on experience in a technical role leveraging SQL, Python, Java and/or Spark to build, operate and maintain data analytics solutions
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with large-scale database technology (e.g. Snowflake, Netezza, Exadata, Teradata, Greenplum, etc.)
• Proficiency in implementing data security measures, access controls, and design specifically within the Snowflake platform
AS A BONUS, A STRONG CANDIDATE WILL ADDITIONALLY HAVE :
• Experience in the services organization of a product company
• Experience in a leadership position executing technical projects
• Industry vertical expertise (Media, Financial Services, Healthcare, etc)
• Application Development experience
• AWS, Google or Microsoft Cloud certification(s)
