Solutions Architect - Network Infrastructure

WE NEED CANDIDATES WHO HAVE INVESTMENT BANKING AND FINANCE DOMAIN
Key Responsibilities
• Lead planning, design, and implementation of high-priority network initiatives across the enterprise.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable, secure technical network solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, reference architectures, and functional specifications for Engineering and Operations teams.
• Own regulatory compliance documentation and respond to internal and external audit requests and inspections.
• Provide Level 3 (engineering-level) support for network systems.
• Drive Operational Readiness: develop and execute test plans, perform network checkouts, and validate production soundness.
• Review new engineering designs to ensure consistent network strategy across teams.
• Build and manage network risk logs and remediation plans.
• Stay current on industry trends and competitive technology infrastructure developments.
Required Skills And Experience
• In-depth knowledge of Multicast routing protocols and methodologies within a financial services environment.
• Advanced WAN Virtualization: MPLS/VRF and related services, including Multicast VRF (MVPN).
• Solid understanding of the OSI model across all layers.
• Experience with Optical networking, including DWDM.
• Familiarity with network monitoring strategies and tooling.
• Strong understanding of security principles and network best practices.
• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems and their interaction with network components.
• Scripting experience with Python, PERL, or TCL.
• Multi-vendor network environment experience.
• Exceptional written documentation and communication skills.
Qualifications
• 7+ years of relevant network engineering and architecture experience.
• Prior experience in the financial industry and low-latency network environments strongly preferred.
• JNCIP certification required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
