Fulcrum is hiring for a full-time (direct hire) Field CTO/Solutions Architect. The role is primarily (75%+ remote) but due to the geographical location of our customers we can only consider candidates in the Dallas or DFW market for this position.

Position Summary:
The Field CTO will collaborate closely with clients and internal engineering teams to develop and execute strategic technology roadmaps. This individual will provide both high-level architectural guidance and practical technical leadership, ensuring that all solutions align with business objectives and industry best practices. The successful candidate will establish standards, mentor teams, maintain key external partnerships, and uphold a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Technology Planning:
• Develop comprehensive technology strategies aligned with client business goals, ensuring scalability, security, and long-term value.
• Advise clients on emerging technologies and market trends to maintain a competitive edge.
2. Technical Leadership and Execution:
• Provide authoritative guidance on system architectures, platform integrations, and infrastructure deployments.
• Oversee complex troubleshooting efforts, ensuring timely resolution of technical challenges.
3. Team Development and Mentorship:
• Lead, mentor, and empower technical teams, fostering an environment of continuous professional growth and high performance.
• Promote the adoption of best practices, modern methodologies, and high-quality engineering standards.
4. Standards, Policies, and Compliance:
• Define and implement architectural frameworks, security policies, and compliance measures that govern solution delivery.
• Ensure adherence to relevant industry regulations and certifications to uphold the integrity and reliability of our solutions.
5. Project Oversight and Quality Assurance:
• Partner with project managers to ensure that initiatives are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to specified quality standards.
• Regularly review project progress and performance metrics, proactively addressing risks and opportunities.
6. Stakeholder and Vendor Management:
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners.
• Leverage these relationships to access cutting-edge technologies and provide clients with advanced, cost-effective solutions.
7. Continuous Innovation:
• Monitor the evolving technology landscape, evaluating new tools, techniques, and platforms that can enhance service offerings and solution outcomes.
Qualifications:
• Technical Certifications: Recognized industry credentials (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, CISSP) validating extensive technical expertise.
• Leadership Certifications: Credentials such as ITIL, TOGAF, ScrumMaster, or PMP, demonstrating proficiency in leadership frameworks and methodologies.
• Consulting Experience: Proven track record in technology leadership roles within IT consulting environments, with demonstrable results in delivering impactful, scalable solutions.
• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clarity.
