We’re excited to be opening the brand new Tattenham Corner pub, located in the scenic Epsom Downs area with beautiful views over the Epsom Downs Racecourse. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding service and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all our guests. With a new state-of-the-art kitchen and a focus on delivering fresh, seasonal dishes, we’re looking for a talented Sous Chef to help lead the kitchen alongside our experienced Head Chef David. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a premium pub offering a top-tier dining experience. What we look for in a Sous Chef:
We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef, or Senior CDP looking for the next step in their career, who thrives in a hands-on, dynamic kitchen environment. As a natural leader, you'll have a flair for producing high-quality dishes while fostering a collaborative, positive team culture. You’ll be instrumental in driving the success of the kitchen, ensuring that we consistently deliver excellent food and service.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead by example: Champion excellent service through the delivery of quality, fresh food.
Team leadership: Inspire, motivate, and develop kitchen staff to maintain a smooth, high-performing kitchen.
Operational efficiency: Manage kitchen staff rotas, training, and all health & safety requirements.
Creative input: Collaborate with the Head Chef to design and implement new dishes and daily specials.
Organisational skills: Maintain effective control of costs (GP, labour) while ensuring consistent food quality.
Drive growth: Work alongside the front-of-house team to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
