Roles and Responsibilities
Manage kitchen operations in line with all policies and standards.
Designing menus in line with concept.
Determine how food is to be styled and presented.
Maintain purchasing, receiving and food storage standards.
Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
Supply chain management.
Recognize superior quality products, presentations and flavour.
Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
Follow proper handling and right temperature of all food products.
Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation.
Achieve and exceeds goals including performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc.
Identify the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills
Desired Candidate Profile
We are looking for a Sous Chef for an upcoming innovative tapas bar in the Andamans. The venue will host an open kitchen and bar, so great interpersonal and social skills are essential.
Previous sous chef experience is preferred, but we might also consider a very strong CDP.
The ideal candidate will be a culinary/hospitality university graduate with 4- 5 years of experience. Along with western kitchen experience, those with Latin or Asian experience will be considered as a plus.
Creative flair is of the essence.
