Job Description
Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and staff management.
Oversee food preparation and ensure that all dishes are prepared according to recipes and standards.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
Train and mentor kitchen staff on food handling, preparation techniques, and safety protocols.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.
Address any issues or concerns that arise during service to ensure smooth operations.
Experience
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Experience in team management, with the ability to motivate and lead kitchen staff effectively.
Proficient in various cooking techniques and cuisines, with a focus on quality presentation.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
