Job Description
As Pastry Sous Chef, will handle the daily production duties ensuring all our products are made with love and excellence, as per the set standards.
You will also assist the Executive Chef in developing new recipes and in staff training.
• Establish the production schedule of all products and execute it with the Mithai team
• Ensure strict quality control in all the kitchen departments, from procurement of high quality ingredients to finished product handling
• Ensure the kitchen is clean & hygienic at all times, materials are well organized and all FSSAI norms are being followed
• Assist the Executive Chef in developing new recipes, scaling them for high volumes and documenting the shelf life testing
• Calculate food costing of all recipes, maintain inventory, waste reports, and re-order lists following the FIFO process
• Collaborate with the Chef and HR in hiring, developing training programs, training and mentoring of the team
• Coordinating with operations team on events, pop ups and gifting orders
Desired Candidate Profile
• 5-6 years of experience in a Pastry production kitchen
• Experience in bulk production
• Good communication skills and a team player
• Basic Indian Mithai knowledge is good but not required
