Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced South Indian Chef to join our team at Ulsoor, Bangalore. The South Indian Chef will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and cooking of authentic South Indian cuisine in our restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for South Indian flavors, excellent culinary skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively.
Responsibilities:
1. Menu Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in all menus of South Indian cuisine, including dosas, idlis, vadas, sambars, rasams, and a variety of chutneys. Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to traditional recipes and standards of quality and taste.
2. Accommodation: Accommodation for the main chef after one month of joining, if required.
3. Duty Timing: Adhere to the duty timing of 05:00 am to 03:00 pm and 06:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Maintain punctuality and professionalism in all aspects of work.
4. ESI and PF: Provide ESI (Employee State Insurance) and PF (Provident Fund) benefits as per statutory requirements. Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience as a South Indian Chef in a restaurant setting.
- Extensive knowledge of South Indian cuisine, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
