The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Regional Futures) is responsible for promoting and actively enhancing the University's external regional relations through governance and advisory roles, industry, and higher education sector partnerships.

The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Regional Futures), based on ECU South West’s Bunbury Campus , is responsible for encouraging and developing industry, employer, and community collaborations in curriculum relevant engagement and Statewide regional support for ECU course, students, and research.

About the Opportunity
We are excited to be offering this new and dynamic opportunity for a South West Campus Communications and Events Coordinator The successful candidate will play an instrumental role in supporting the Office of the DVC (Regional Futures) in achieving its vision by:

Undertaking media monitoring, research and development of media releases related to SW Campus for the DVCRF and the Director Regional Development.
Collaborating with relevant ECU Professional Services team to support ECU corporate promotional activities, including social media updates, website content, coordinate on campus event logistics, registration, and promotion activities.
Researching, writing and editing engaging communications for a variety of internal and external audiences across a range of channels national and international, including, print and digital (website, traditional media, social media platforms and e-newsletters).
Coordination of on-campus event logistics, registration, and promotion activities, including activities associated with the events such as graduation, conferences and orientation planning. This includes events at the Busselton Learning Centre and the Regional Learning Hubs.
Providing an advisory and consultative service to internal and external stakeholders on event standards, practices and protocols. Contribute towards the development and maintenance of best practice standards.
Assisting with the support for events and/or communication activities in support of external facing projects/events.

About you
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate the following capabilities:

Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in communications and/or events.
Strong written communication skills, with the ability to develop and tailor content for diverse audiences across multiple channels, including digital and social media.
Proficiency in using digital tools to analyse data, create content, and plan, promote and deliver events.
Ability to communicate complex information clearly and engagingly, selecting appropriate formats and channels.
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective internal and external networks.
Sound planning and organisational capability, including managing priorities, resources and outcomes within a strategic framework.
Strategic awareness and ability to identify and respond to emerging trends, technologies and external influences.
