The individual will contribute as part of the Database Engineering team and work closely with IT architects, tech leads, business analysts and quality assurance specialistsWhat Were Looking For : Basic Qualifications : 3+ years of experience in the following areas: Perl development 1+ years of experience in python or other programming languageExperience with data integration and application design and developmentExperience with cloud computing [AWS preferred] and distributed system deploymentsExperience in analyzing user requirements and translating/implementing into codeExcellent verbal and written communication skills [English]Strong organizational and problem-solving skillsExperience with source code management practices and systemsExperience with Agile as well as Waterfall development methodologiesPreferred to have : Adept with SQL and shell scriptingKnowledge of workflow automation and scheduling concepts and best practices-AutosysAbility to independently execute to Proof-of-Concepts [PoCs] targeting cloud-native managed services and featuresAbout Company: At S&P Global Platts, we provide the insights; you make better informed trading and business decisions with confidence.
