Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Apprentice to join the SPDJI Commercial Finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting ETF Flows analysis and competitive tagging, assisting in monthly close activities and analytics, and report validation as part of an enterprise-wide project, as well as ad-hoc requests. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who is eager to take on challenges and contribute to our team's success.
Key Responsibilities
Learn SPDJI Index Business and ETF market
Assist in tagging newly launched ETFs to competitive categories to enhance internal market research and strategy development
Assist in monthly close activities, including support performing basic financial reconciliations under the guidance of the Financial Analysts
Assist the Team with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests from various stakeholders
Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency
Learn to use and support the development and implementation of financial tools and dashboards.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices to enhance financial operations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Basic understanding of accounting and financial reporting
Strong Excel skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Open-minded and willing to take on challenges and learn new skills.
Strong accountability, Team oriented, and exhibit strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with data cleaning, mining, and analytics work
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Experience with or exposure to Salesforce, Alteryx, Tableau, or Anaplan
