Duties Description
The New York State Education Department’s (NYSED) Office of Education Policy is seeking candidates for a Special Education Assistant Substitute position at the New York State School for the Deaf. The incumbent of this position will be responsible for the classroom care of students in the school’s education or residential programs. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Provide direct supervision to students;
• Assist Instructors in the delivery and practice of content;
• Supervise students in the cafeteria during breakfast and lunch;
• ****** students from class to class; and
• Provide direct instruction under the supervision and guidance of the Instructor.
