Health Basix is seeking an exceptional Special Educator to join our team in a school setting.
We are looking for a dedicated professional with a strong background in special education who can identify learning and adaptive functioning issues students face during school hours.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to conduct formal or informal assessments to understand academic and behavioral functioning of students.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with parents and concerned subject teachers for students with special needs.
You will work closely with students based on the IEP developed by you, ensuring their unique needs are met.
Additionally, you will refer students for formal assessments outside the school when necessary and conduct workshops on inclusion and education for students with special needs upon request from the school.
Your responsibilities will also include parent meetings to discuss student progress and current functioning, as well as discussions with concerned class and subject teachers about student progress.
