Special Education Teacher (SPED) Merced, CA
Full-Time Special Day Class & Resource Specialist Program Onsite Only
Job Details:
Location: Merced, CA (Onsite Only)
Employment Type: Full-time, Direct Hire (Perm Deal)
Hours: 7:30 AM 3:30 PM (7.5 paid hours per day)
Caseload: 27-28 students to start
Grade Levels: TK, Kindergarten, First Grade, Fourth Grade (other grades may be added)
Pay Range: $35 - $45 per hour (based on experience)
Responsibilities:
Serve as Designated IEP Case Manager
Support classroom teachers and instructional planning
Provide specialized academic instruction to students
Draft and write IEPs, complete required documentation, and facilitate IEP meetings
Conduct academic assessments and create short reports
Collaborate with school psychologists, speech and language pathologists, general education teachers, instructional aides, administration, and special education directors
Communicate regularly with parents, as needed
Qualifications:
Active California Special Education Teaching Credential
Experience with SDC and RSP preferred
Strong IEP development and case management skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
