Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and qualified Special Educator to support students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive school environment. The candidate will work closely with teachers, parents, and school leadership to ensure that students with learning difficulties or disabilities achieve their full academic and social potential.
Key Responsibilities
Identify students with learning disabilities, developmental delays, or special needs through observation and assessment.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
Provide one-on-one and small group instruction using appropriate teaching strategies.
Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum, teaching methods, and assessments.
Monitor and document student progress and maintain accurate records.
Use assistive technologies and specialized teaching tools where required.
Support inclusive classroom practices in line with CBSE/ICSE guidelines.
Conduct regular meetings with parents to discuss student progress and provide guidance.
Work with counselors, therapists, and other professionals for holistic student development.
Organize awareness programs for staff and parents regarding inclusive education.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education (B.Ed./M.Ed. in Special Education).
Certification recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
Knowledge of CBSE/ICSE inclusive education policies and accommodations.
Strong understanding of learning disabilities such as dyslexia, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, etc.
Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to design differentiated instruction and assessments.
Patience, adaptability, and problem-solving mindset.
Preferred Experience
2–5 years of experience working in a school setting.
Experience in handling inclusive classrooms in CBSE or ICSE schools.
Familiarity with IEP documentation and progress tracking systems.
