Job Summary
The Paediatric Special Education Teacher will be responsible for providing specialized education to children with developmental delays, learning disabilities, and other challenges that impact their ability to succeed in a traditional classroom setting. This will include assessing children's needs, developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), and collaborating with families and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children. The Paediatric Special Education Teacher will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date student records, as well as staying current on developments in the field through continuing education opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess children's needs and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with board guidelines
• Provide specialized education to children with developmental delays, learning disabilities, and other challenges that impact their ability to succeed in a traditional classroom setting
• Collaborate with families and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records
• Stay current on developments in the field through continuing education opportunities
• Basic knowledge of Speech Therapy
