Now Hiring: Social Event Assistant / Banquet Manager

Location: Vernon, BC | Part-Time | Flexible Schedule (Evenings + Weekends Required)

The Rise Resort is seeking an experienced, energetic, and creative Social Event Assistant / Banquet Manager to support our Lead Planner, Livi Waller, with weddings, social events, and restaurant promotions at The Edge Restaurant.

Experience in events, hospitality, or restaurant management is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with planning and executing events as required.

Support and manage banquet operations during events

Promote The Rise Resort and The Edge Restaurant through weekly and monthly event planning and marketing initiatives

Coordinate and attend site visits with clients

Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide administrative support

Create digital and print promotional materials including ads, flyers, and social content

Contribute to increasing event revenue and ensuring exceptional client experiences

What We’re Looking For:

Minimum 2 years of experience in event coordination, banquet management, or hospitality

Strong organizational and communication skills

Confident, professional, and proactive attitude

Ability to multitask, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Creative mindset with attention to detail

Comfortable using computers and office software (experience with Canva, email, social media a bonus)

Pay: From $26.00 per hour
