Auckland Council's Community Wellbeing specialist advisors work with diverse communities to understand their aspirations and support them in bringing their ideas to life. We focus on community-led development and building community capability, aligned with the Auckland Plan and Thriving Communities action plan. Our Specialist Advisors build strong relationships within the communities they are working with, can act as trusted partners and be accountable to deliver great results.
We have a secondment opportunity until March 2026 in the South portfolio, based in Manukau with requirements to travel around the communities you will be working with. This dynamic role offers diverse and exciting opportunities to make a difference to Auckland communities.
Day to day your responsibilities will look like:
Contributing to and leading work that tackles some of the toughest issues facing Auckland communities.
Giving evidence-based advice to inform elected member priorities and decision-makers.
