Key Task Types
Ø Execute the validation of the selected accounts using the reconciliations tools.
Ø Using the available systems including SWIFT, and various payment systems. Initiate cases within reconciliations tools to manage the exceptions.
Ø Ensure all exceptions are followed up or resolved in a timely manner with adequate audit trails.
Ø Timely and effective communication with internal and external clients (including overseas and domestic banks) to arrange clearance and/or settlement of exceptions. Report processing/operational risk issues to management.
Ø Identify, communicate and escalate identified issues to minimise the risk exposure to the bank
Ø Execute testing of systems and changes to processes and workflows when required.
Ø Comply with Bank policies, protocols, risk controls and frameworks.
Ø Develop knowledge of foreign exchange processes and procedures by interactions within the larger team.
Ø Provide superior client service aligned with the client’s needs and business objectives by continually reviewing work processes to reduce costs, error and minimise manual processes.
Ø Pro-actively Identifies, Recommends & Drives Process Improvements within the area that produce business efficiencies.
Ø Provides constructive ideas and resources to any project work. Delivers all agreed project action items.
Ø During periods of resource constraints provides support and cover for other roles and positions within the team.
Ø Continuous maintenance of procedures, including the testing & implementation of new processes/procedures/rule updates.
Ø You require the motivation to come up with timely answers or solutions on outstanding issues, and deliver within the allocated cut-off times for the bank
Ø Escalation of any risks, audit and compliance issues to management in a timely manner.
Ø The senior reconciler will be expected to exercise delegated authority from the manager as required.
