S&P Global Corporate The Team:
Be part of a global record to report team and collaborate with domestic and international retained staff third parties Treasury Intercompany AP & OTC teams, and all global business units focusing on achieving team / company objectives
The Impact:
This position will assist Lead Accountant, & Senior Cash Manager with month end close for interfacing the Treasury system into our ERP system (Oracle Cloud).
The individual will monitor the daily bank files import and creation of bank setups and maintenance. The person will also perform the cash & cash equivalent reconciliations.
The individual will also be helping the cash manager on the ad hoc reporting and audit requests and ensure the adherence to our SOX policies and procedures related to Bank setup maintenance.
The position will be an anchor for our acquisitions and divestiture activities and support other accountants within the team during the crunch time.
The member will also be working on corporate debt reconciliations and amortizations as needed by the Cash Manager and the Lead Accountant.
Understand subsystems such as Treasury Kyriba system, Oracle Cloud
• AR, AP modules & any of our legacy systems that impact the cash module to ensure overall end to end process works continuously and effectively.
Adhere to accounting, audit, systems controls, and procedures ensuring compliance with corporate policies and SOX controls. The member will be subject matter expert for the flagship cash management projects. The candidate will be the Product Owner for the cash management projects. Be a backup for the Unclaimed property Accountant.

Works on cash and cash equivalent reconciliations, petty cash and corporate debt reconciliations as assigned. Ensures timely clearance of open items within corporate policies. Supports Controllers, Cash Manager and Senior specialist on the internal and external audit requests related to cash management.
Works with Divestiture/Acquisitions team in acquired and discontinued operations of purchased or sold business, cash handling and providing support i.e., reconciliations, financial statements and or contacts.
Coordinates with various cross departments i.e., Intercompany, Accounts Payable, T&E, OTC, Treasury, Real Estate, Payroll, M&A, Controllers on recording entries requiring appropriate accounting treatment.
Prepares journal entries and accounting classifications as needed to successfully complete the financial close each month and report cash accurately.
Performs back fill and support to other accountants on the team, specifically to Record to Report Global Cash Management.
Works closely with technical teams to ensure Cash Management Operations are functioning as well as testing Oracle enhancements and projects.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact and collaborate with internal (employees) and external customers (vendors) at all levels including third parties to achieve results.
Strong ability to analyze and resolve issues with timely and efficient agility while ensuring SOX compliance is adhered.
Independent ability (not limited to) to resolve cash management issues Missing bank files, major cash transactions including our EMEA payroll, direct debits, and APAC specific issues.
Ability to work with a diverse group of people globally supporting not only internal employees but also our external customers globally to resolve issues.
High degree of accuracy and management of workload understanding of contributions to the overall end to end process ability to meet deadlines is critical.
Must be able to work independently, be accountable for processes/tasks performed, and understand when an issue should be escalated to management.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Motivated to achieve objectives may be required to take a leading position for projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of Cash and general accounting experience required (Record to Report preferred) College level accounting degree preferred/ CPA or C.A.
Chartered Accountant. Experience with SAP & Oracle Cloud and International banking applications preferred.
Willingness to learn our new systems and legacy systems at a fast phase Excellent oral and written communication skills are required the ability to interact and collaborate with internal and external customers at all levels of management and staff globally.
Proficiency in Alteryx, Tableau or BIP reporting preferred. Skills in dealing with offshore partners and communication.
High degree of accuracy and management of heavy workload understanding of contributions to the overall end to end process possess a global perspective of how functions impact the company.
Knowledge of all Microsoft Office Products specifically Outlook, Excel, Access, and Word. Must be assertive to follow up on resolving issues, ability to multi-task in a fast paced and ever-changing environment.
Must be able to work independently, be accountable for processes/tasks performed, and understand when an issue should be elevated to management.
Flexible to work in shifting schedules, primarily to match U.S. working hours and render overtime when there is a strong business need. Must be willing to work in U.S. working hours .
