Job Purpose :-

To strategize, identify & manage all physical security programs for DBS India. To build & develop an effective security function that partners & supports the overall growth of DBS India. To ensure implementation is in line with regulatory standards and group policies. Educate, train & implement the global physical security programs through the delivery of professional and highly valued security services to business. Assist in conducting investigations into financial crimes, fraud control, and misconduct and security breaches. To act as understudy to the Bank's Chief Security Officer.

Key Accountabilities :-
• Strategize, develop & implement physical security programs in line with country security policies covering the bank, its infrastructure, clients, and employees.
• Manage the security of all property & infrastructure, surveillance systems including branches & ATM's of business region.
• Consistently implements policies & procedures for all security issues including robbery, and security events. Ensure a thorough understanding of policies through good communication vehicles & programs.
• Constantly monitor & analyze global, domestic & local trends & emerging issues including intelligence & threats.
• Assist the Team lead, Corporate Security by providing timely and useful MIS & analytics reports. Aid in the implement of country policies, processes & standard operating procedures. KPI to be measured through successful completion of all security reviews on time.

Job Duties & responsibilities :-
• Ensure best practices are adopted and guidelines complied with and that all activities comply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
• Assist in the selection /deployment and overseeing the functioning of Security agencies at all DBS Branches/Office.
• Assist in the Planning /installation /Testing and commissioning of Security systems at the Branches/ATMs and Data Centres.
• MIS generated by Central ATM alarm monitoring centre to be reviewed and all Alerts/issues to be closed after investigation.
• Localize & customize appropriate security policies, standards, and procedures to deal with possible range of threats for specified policies & standards which are to be reviewed on a regular basis.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs by contract management & administration of any security contracts/projects.
• Develop a continuous security risk assessment program. Inspect of new and existing buildings, offices, retail branches and outsourced service providers' facilities which include design specification of security system installations in accordance with Country policies and standards.
• Constantly monitor & analyse all security incidents, financial crimes, violations & breaches. Investigate & report findings.
• Oversee the implementation progress of the security enhancement recommendations.
• Site security review for all outsourcing of functions and processes (relating to physical security) and periodic reviews.
• Establish and maintain a liaison network of security contacts in law enforcement, government, security vendors and businesses. Develop and maintain these relationships to enable our business units to act proactively or react swiftly to any developing threats.
• Undertake other tasks as directed by Team Lead, Head Security/Head LCS/ Head FCSS.
• Manage the security budget.
• Provide education, training, and support to the businesses on relevant issues and developments as appropriate.
• Assist with development of infrastructure both technology and people-wise.
• Liaise with the Regulators and establish a cordial rapport. Correspond with the regulators for all security issues.
• Proactively forge relationships with a broad range of business areas and third parties to encourage the best quality output and service from the team
• Share know-how and experience with other security managers within the team and elsewhere within the DBS security function, including participation in any global practice groups relevant to role and expertise.
• Assist Internal Audit in providing all information relation to branches on Access control logs and security systems.

Required Experience :-
• 5+ years' experience in the areas of Central Monitoring/ Esurveillance, and physical security system analysis.
• BFSI domain experience preferred.
• Prior experience in site security design and risk assessments.
• Experience in Incident management and security investigations is preferrable.

Education / Preferred Qualifications :-

Graduation degree or equivalent work experience.

Core Competencies :-
• Crisis Management skills and experience.
• Candidate is expected to be fluent in English, Hindi & Tamil. Fluency in other languages will be an added advantage.

Technical Competencies :-
• Competency in Microsoft products esp. Word, Excel, and Power Point. AutoCAD, Sketchup or comparable applications experience.
• Vendor management and project execution.

Work Relationship :-
• Develop and maintain a close working relationship with all business heads, operations teams & support functions.
