Job Purpose:
Entrusted with the ownership of the management of watchlist accounts, involving early identification of credit deterioration and proactive workout. The role involves good understanding of the business, inherent problem identification, operational and financial restructuring, in part or full to resolve the problem and up gradation of asset for the Bank. Financial and Risk analytical skill for early identification of stress. The role is integral to monitoring pre-stress situations portfolio. The individual needs to maintain customer profile including risk profile, demographics of their base, drive the account management in collaboration with the RM.
Key Accountabilities:
• Closely monitoring of allocated portfolio of watchlist accounts, regular review of operational and financial performance, including memo and seeking credit approval, monthly cash flows, tracking performance of various industries which have a bearing on the respective assets etc.
• To maintain close working relationship with Business Unit and other stakeholders (CCU, CCG, Audit) to ensure that IBG deliverables are met
• Support in timely completion of Housekeeping Activities like exception monitoring/resolution for overall maintenance of healthy Portfolio and effective handling of Audit Queries
• In the advisory role, to be part of company inspection and factory visits with view to having strong intelligence on the company.
• Assist in managing watchlist accounts, which involves performance monitoring & benchmarking, adherence to terms of restructuring. to negotiate the implementation of work outs.
• Assisting in the projects which have run into problems, undertaking M&A activities, change of management, induction of strategic investor, divestments / sale of assets and investments
• Develop understanding of risk management guidelines of DBS, MAS and RBI and adherence of the same
• The role also involves close co-ordination with the legal team for the limited cases which may involve litigation, interact with legal counsels for taking appropriate legal remedies. - If required.
Required Experience:
• Overall,03-05 years of experience in Corporate Banking, Special Situations Management, Restructuring Group or Similar field.
• Demonstrated skills in successful negotiation and co-ordination with internal and external stake holders.
• Sound Understanding of credit proposals and financial analytics
• Knowledge of competitors and marketplace.
Education & Preferred Qualifications:
Premier Institute Graduate / MBA / CA
Core Competencies:
• Deep rooted credit understanding covering multiple sectors, with focused experience in multiple sectors.
• Exceptional negotiator. Ability to coordinate with various internal and external stake holders.
• Experience in Banking sector, ARCs, Special Situation Funds, Investment Banking, Consulting Companies handling restructuring and special situations.
• Well versed with the execution and supervising of restructuring assignments.
• Strong and consultative problem-solving capabilities. Eye for details.
• Ability to engage at the promoter and senior management level
