Business Function
Risk Management Group works closely with our business partners to manage the bank’s risk exposure by balancing its objective to maximize returns against an acceptable risk profile. We partner with origination teams to provide financing, investments and hedging opportunities to our customers. To manage risk effectively and run a successful business, we invest significantly in our people and infrastructure.
Job Purpose:-
• To concentrate on all the post sanction cases
• To identify and provide a overall view on the quality and the shortcomings observed on the borrowal accounts
• Scope of coverage would be ABL,CLAP and Gold Loans
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders by highlighting the gaps observed in the credit processes and drive it to a closure
• Provide monthly MIS to the Senior Management on the observations and closure status
Job Duties And Responsibilities
• To have a sound knowledge of the SME/MSME segments, Loan against Properties and Gold Loan segments, its nuances, strengths and shortcomings.
• To have a working knowledge of the general Legal and regulatory framework on the geographies in which the bank operates in India and apply the same on their day to day functions
• To evaluate the approved credit proposals on the adherence of DOA / Credit Policies and guidelines, (including MAS) in vogue
• To evaluate the legal and valuation reports, Stock and Receivables Audit reports, Collateral Audit reports, etc ., and ensure the quality of compliance and / or closure of the conditions / suggestions stipulated on those reports by respective teams
• To study the Stock and Receivables Statements and Insurance policies to check the a) adequacy of the information provided on the same (b) interpret and evaluate those information (c) analyze the quality of the stocks and receivables and their aging b) Understand the relevance of the details provided in these statements vis-à-vis the business activity of the borrower
• Evaluate the quality of the credit covenants closures
• To interact with the collateral managers in case of any discrepancy on the valuation reports, cross check the values provided on the same, wherever necessary
• To maintain a record of all the observations and highlight the findings to the respective business units in a structured manner and follow up for the closure of the same..
• To provide a monthly MIS to the senior management on the gaps, issues identified and the status of the closure
Experience:-
10 to 12 years of lending experience on underwriting and / or credit monitoring on the SME/ MSME segment.
Education/Preferred Qualifications :-
MBA / Chartered Accountant / Post graduate with relevant work- experience.
Core Competencies :-
• Underwriting skills both on SME and LAP products especially on PD based underwriting
• Good analysis & evaluation skills on credit evaluation, credit related reports, statements, financial parameters and accounting policies
• Good problem solving, planning & organizing skills
• Adequate knowledge on the legal, valuation and local practices on the geography in which they operate
• Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Ability to ensure faster turnarounds
• Sound understanding of regulatory guidelines on credit issued by RBI, working knowledge of MAS regulations and local laws and regulations that impact businesses in general.
• Knowledge of SME/MSME banking products

• Maintain Smooth and effective Interactions with relevant functional units
• Maintain Good working relationship with Business, Credit, BSU and CCU teams
