We are looking for a passionate and highly skilled Specialist, Customer Insights Development to join our team and deliver actionable insights that inform strategy and drive customer outcomes at QBE.

As part of the Strategy Development & Customer Insights team, you will support insight projects across the business. You will use quantitative and qualitative research to identify opportunities, clarify implications, and help stakeholders make better decisions.

About QBE

At QBE, we get to the heart of what matters for our customers. And we do it all with a human touch.

We’re an international insurer with more than 13,000 people working across 26 countries – which means we’re big enough for your ambitions, yet small enough for you to make a real impact. It’s an exciting time. We’re building momentum towards our vision to become the most consistent and innovative risk partner.

Your new role

Reporting to the Head of Strategy Development & Customer Insights and working closely with senior team members, you will contribute to the development of customer insight frameworks, and the delivery of insight led recommendations.

You will combine strong analytical skills with strategic thinking to ensure our customer understanding is grounded in evidence and linked to business priorities

Your responsibilities will include:

Translate stakeholder needs into clear insight briefs, and support end to end research delivery where required (including survey design, fieldwork coordination, and qualitative support).

Analyse and synthesise insights from multiple sources to identify customer behaviours, market trends, and opportunities, and summarise findings in a clear, actionable way.

Support the translation of insights into recommendations that inform product, service, and experience decisions, with clear commercial logic.

Create executive ready materials (summaries, narratives and slides) that support stakeholder decision making.

Build strong working relationships with stakeholders and research partners, supporting supplier management and contributing to insights to action sessions and workshops.

About you

You have a solid foundation in customer insights and are keen to grow your technical capability while developing a strategic and commercial mindset. You are curious about customers, comfortable working with data and research, and motivated by using evidence to support better business decisions.

In this role, you will bring the following skills and experience:

Hands on experience supporting quantitative research end to end, including questionnaire design, fieldwork, analysis, synthesis and reporting (exposure to qualitative methods is a plus).

Experience using Excel and recognised survey and analysis tools (eg Q Research Software) and survey platforms such as Qualtrics, Medallia, InMoment or similar.

Understanding of core statistical concepts and how to apply them in a business context.

Strong communication skills and attention to detail, with the ability to translate data into clear, practical insights.

Interest in how customer insights inform business priorities and customer outcomes
