What You Will Do:
Mediaocean is seeking a Senior Oracle DBA to join our team in Pune. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4-6 years of Oracle Application DBA experience, or equivalent. The Oracle DBA will be working closely with the application team who support client facing and internal Databases within a DevOps environment. Applicants will be required to work with other DBs like MongoDB and SQL Server, so should be willing to learn.
Tasks/Duties will include :
Collaborate with Application Developers / Ops / QA to support applications, & Organization goals Create / Maintain database applications, scripts, features, and data integration solutions, as required. Focuses on database design, development, and writing PL/SQL functions for database applications. SQL coding – Collaborate with App developers to optimize queries, improve SQL execution plans Performance tuning – Identifying and resolve bottlenecks in PL/SQL performance on Production environments. Tablespace and Schema Reorg activities for performance improvement Perform general technical troubleshooting and consult Application Dev team Monitor & maintain existing systems & alerts, patch analysis, including standby servers Track issues and changes accurately via Helpdesk tickets, and follow internal processes for compliance & security Create and update documentation
Who You Are:
Minimum of 6-8 years of Oracle DBA experience preferred Extensive PL/SQL experience to implement application business logic using SQL or related query language Must have good verbal and written communication, and ability to contribute in a team environment Being motivated, organized, and willing to own projects, or issues, through to completion Preferred: Experience with Oracle SQLNet configuration, OEM, Diagnostics & Tuning Preferred: Exposure to Container databases, Oracle 12c, Oracle 11g Preferred: Shell scripting or programming experience
