About this opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IN/Charging Specialist to join our telecommunications team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the Implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Intelligent Network (IN) and charging solutions to ensure seamless billing operations and excellent customer experience.
What you will do:
• Manage and maintain IN/Charging systems, including online charging systems (OCS) and prepaid platforms.
• Configure and optimize service logic programs (SLPs) for real-time charging and rating.
• Ensure compatibility with various billing and mediation systems.
• Good knowledge of Diameter protocol.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IN/charging solutions with BSS/OSS systems.
• Develop and deploy new services on the IN/charging platform as per business requirements.
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of charging platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to call setup, data session, and charging errors.
• Analyse traffic data and recommend system upgrades to handle increased volumes effectively.
• Optimize charging and rating algorithms to enhance efficiency and reduce latency.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies in charging and billing operations.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect customer data and prevent fraud.
• Prepare detailed documentation for system configurations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Generate periodic reports on system performance, usage statistics, and revenue impacts.
The skills you bring:
• Proficiency in IN/Charging platforms (e.g., Ericsson, Amdocs).
• Strong understanding of CAMEL, CAP, Diameter, SS7, and other relevant protocols.
• Experience with OCS, PCRF, and other real-time charging components.
• Knowledge of scripting and programming languages like Java, Python, or Shell scripting.
Educational Background:
• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, ECE, Computer Science (Master’s degree is a plus).
Experience:
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in IN/charging systems within the telecommunications industry.
• Proven track record of successful project implementations and optimizations.
