Science Teacher – Biology
Fixed Term, full-time covering Leave from Term 2, 2026 until the beginning of Term 2, 2027
Te Puna Wai o Waipapa – Hagley College is seeking a fixed term, full-time Science kaiako who loves working with young people and can develop positive, mana-enhancing relationships with ākonga, whānau, and staff.
We require a fixed term, full-time passionate teacher who is always looking to improve their practice. If you are a future focused and innovative kaiako, come and join our Science Department from Term 2, 2026 until Term 2, 2027. Ideally you will have the ability to teach Biology at all levels an advantage.
NZ registered, certificated teacher familiar with the NZ curriculum.

Specialist

Te Puna Wai o Waipapa – Hagley College is seeking a fixed term, experienced, motivated, and relationship-focused Specialist Learning Support Teacher to support targeted numeracy interventions and diverse learners across our school.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver numeracy intervention groups for students requiring accelerated progress, using evidence-based practices.
Provide specialist support for ORS-funded students, including individualised programme planning, in-class guidance, and collaboration with external specialists.
Offer specialist in-class teaching as needed, modelling effective strategies and supporting classroom teachers.
We are looking for someone who:
Has strong expertise in numeracy teaching and intervention strategies.
Brings a deep understanding of diverse learning needs, including experience working with ORS or high-needs students.
Builds warm, positive relationships with students, staff, whānau, and external agencies.
Holds a current NZ teaching registration and is familiar with the updated New Zealand Curriculum.
