Role Responsibilities

Strategy
• Awareness and understanding of the Group's business strategy and model appropriate to the role.
• Identify & recommend new products or technology that can add value to the organization and align to the network strategic goals
• Work with Security Technology Services to ensure Network Services architecture design/solutions can meet bank security standards.
• Develop RFPs/RFIs, oversee product evaluations, coordinate product selections, ensuring pricing, terms and conditions meet bank IT standards.

Business
• Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the group operates.
• As a critical technology service for the bank, ensure the network services architecture design have high availability to remains stable and performing optimally
• Gain a deep understanding of business objectives and priorities.

Processes
• Ensure that Network Engineering complies with the Technology Services processes within the Architecture Framework. These include, Security Architecture & Capability Authority (SACA), Technology Services Technology Council (TSTC), Cloud Governance Framework.

Risk Management
• Contribute towards identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling, and mitigating risks to the Group. Also, have an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and the role the individual plays in managing them
• The ability to interpret the Group's Financial information, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures.
• Ensure a full understanding of the risk and control environment within Network Services Operations
• Ensure Network Architecture Design adhere to Group Security & Audit policies within Network Services.

Governance
• Take personal responsibility for understanding the risk and compliance requirements of the role.
• Understand and comply with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, and regulations, including those governing anti-money laundering, terrorist financing, and sanctions; the Group's policies and procedures; and the Group Code of Conduct.
• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk and compliance matters.
• Embed the Group's values and code of conduct to ensure that adherence with the highest standards of ethics, and compliance with relevant policies, processes, and regulations among employees' form part of the culture.

Regulatory & Business Conduct
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and the Group Code of Conduct.
• Lead the [Singapore/T&I/Enterprise Technology/Network Services [Network Engineering]to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank's Conduct Principles: [Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.] *
• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

• Technology Services – Infrastructure Engineering domain heads
• Technology Services – Security Technology Services domain heads
• Technology Services – Cloud Engineering Head

Other Responsibilities
• Embed Here for Good and Group's brand and values in the Network Services Operations team.
• Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business, or Functional Policies & procedures.

Our Ideal Candidate
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Computer Science/Information Technology, or its equivalent
• Minimum Cisco Certified Internetwork Professional (CCNP) or its equivalent.
• Minimum AWS (AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associateor) or Azure equivalent.
• With minimum 4 years' experience on design, deployment, and configuration.
• Good knowledge in public cloud (AWS, Azure) networking services i.e. Cloud connectivity, Loadbalancer, WAF, Observability.
• Good knowledge and experience in overlay networking, routing, and switching.
• Good knowledge and experience in core network function such as load balancer, firewall, DDI (DHCP, DNS and IPAM).
• Knowledge on other data center core technologies such as storage (IP/FC) and Virtual platform, will be added advantages.
