Role Responsibilities

Strategy

We are looking for a Privacy Specialist. The Privacy Specialist will review the company's services, products, and offerings to identify privacy related issues, help execute, and improve Data and Privacy Transformation.

The position will be responsible for consulting on privacy matters, development, implementation, maintenance and execution of policy and procedural analysis, documentation and technical. This role will also require coordinate with multiple business areas within and outside the Data and Privacy Programme Team to ensure privacy requirements are effectively implemented to promote compliance objectives.

To be successful in this role, the candidate should have in-depth knowledge of GDPR and local data protection laws, be familiar with our industry and the nature of its data processing activities. Candidate will be required to perform reviews to our current solutions.

The candidate must be proactive in promoting any necessary steps to strengthen the compliance and must be able to communicate to all Group entities around the globe.

Business
• Responsible for assisting with the management of the data privacy, data protection, data usability, performance and the integrity of the privacy solution.
• Interacting with internal privacy program managers, product development teams, legal, compliance, governance and data protection teams.
• Interact with users to define system requirements and / or necessary modifications to new or existing software.
• Collaborate with data product development teams creating new uses of data that employ privacy features.
• Guide the development of new privacy products and features.

Processes
• Keep under constant review the data privacy solutions both from business and technical standpoint.
• Implements and maintains a privacy solution (technology) framework to manage data use in compliance with applicable data protection regulations, including developing policies, standards and templates for data collection, and assists with data mapping, and vendor management reviews.
• Partner with key business areas, in particular the Infrastructure and Application onboarding requirements, to ensure solution design elements are considered at the outset of new projects, products and initiatives.
• Develop and maintain relevant detailed technical solution and be able to articulate how the solution aligns with the data privacy requirements and policies.
• Monitor the industry landscape to keep visibility on evolutions, trends, and best practices related to Data Privacy and its Technology.
• Establish and manage tools and develop run books for managing technical implementation of privacy by design and operational workflows.
• Working knowledge on data sets, Providing technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
• Provide technical privacy guidance, analysis, and feedback to business, developers and work with application architects.
• Serving as a subject matter expert both from data privacy and its related technology perspective.
• Assessing tests and implementing new or upgraded software and assisting with solution design.
• Handle enquiries and issues relating to data privacy solutions implemented and in pipeline.
• Setting up processes and systems to make working with data more efficient.
• Developing and delivering a robust solution.
• Researching new ways to make use of data.
• Troubleshooting the technical solutions.

Other Responsibilities
• Demonstrate good knowledge of data privacy, data handling and data classification.
• Demonstrate experience of managing data privacy solutions in a global organisation.
• Knowledgeable in global and European data protection laws and practices and understanding of the GDPR.
• Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines and manage own workload.

Our Ideal Candidate
• Master's degree and a minimum of 2 years of professional work experience relevant to the scope of this position; or a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years' professional work experience relevant to the scope of this position.
• Professional work experience must include the following: developing and delivering applications; demonstrated understanding and application of data privacy laws; and working across multiple businesses and stakeholders.
• Data Protection and / or Privacy certification such as, but not limited to, CIPP, CIPT, ISEB is preferred.
• Excellent writing, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Must have experience working in a global organization.
