We're seeking a future team member for the role of Specialist/RFP Writer – Proposal Development to join our Asset Servicing and Digital (ASD)team. This role is located in PUNE – HYBRID Mode. Description: BNY Mellon's ASD team is looking for a creative, outgoing, out-of-the-box thinker to join our RFP team The RFP writer will partner with Executives, Project Managers, and Business Development Leads to prepare compliant and commercially viable RFx responses, as well as contribute to activities that support our growth initiatives in EMEA and other regions. The RFP writer participates in and leads activities related to proposal development, including coordinating with internal business units to research and gather information necessary to prepare a responsive submission to the RFx, and anticipating and resolving any compliance, legal or regulatory review required for response. They work directly with the Business Development or Relationship Management team to clarify proposal requirements. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: • Proposal strategy and writing – With limited supervision, partake in or lead activities related to proposal development and create proposals / responses customized and tailored to the decision maker. The proposal writer is expected to be a generator of winning proposals and best practices that can serve as a model for other members of the team. May contribute to final go/no-go deliberation. • Proposal Management - Own project management by creating timelines/responsibility assignments and driving continuous communication, coordinating legal/business reviews. Identify and remove barriers of progress, escalating issues as needed. Must be able to manage proposals using proposal management tools . Loopio experience is a bonus. • Communication – Play an active role in regular meetings, deal councils to share best practices, information, problem solving, etc., with other team members. • Knowledge Management - Develop and refine proposal processes and proposal library content. Work directly with the Business Development or Relationship Management team to clarify proposal requirements. • Tracking – Use RFP matrix to track all proposal information required to develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports. Ensure data is accurate and updated in real time. • Meeting, Beating and Exceeding stringent timelines – Work under extreme time pressure on complex deals without compromising the quality of the responses. Create client-ready responses for review based on the input received from stakeholders. • Training and sharing best practices – Serve as a training resource and brand ambassador sharing approaches and lessons from pursuits. Actively share best practices. • Other – Contribute to the achievement of team and organizational objectives, attend pre-proposal meetings and debriefings as needed. • Mentoring- Advise junior writers of the team and facilitate proposal management process by reviewing drafts, assisting RFP team leaders in training of new joiners and manage ad-hoc requests. To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: • MBA degree or the equivalent combination of education and minimum 7-10 years of experience in financial services or related field is required. Experience in working on RFXs for Alternative Investment Services will be highly preferred. • Open to working in EMEA time zone and flexibility to connect with U.S. writers to pass the book when needed. Skills and abilities: You are a good match if you are: • Extremely resourceful with excellent Project Management skills and experience. • Collaborative – Help facilitate a high level of collaboration between multiple stakeholders. When needed, work directly with SMEs, leaders and executives to help refine content strategy/messaging to best position the firm to win. Must have excellent written/verbal communication and keen listening skills. • Creative – Dynamic individual with an ability to synthesize multiple and significant information sources into a crisp, professional, impactful and value-add response for clients.' • Driven and a self-starter – Skilled in organisational and time management skills and an ability to manage a broad range of activities simultaneously, demonstrates the desire to learn and develop at a rapid pace, focusing on Asset Servicing but also learning the franchise to help support the sales process. • Attention to detail – Practice meticulous standards to provide responses of exceptional quality while meeting all requirements of the RFx. • Enthusiastic, Confident and Decisive with strong interpersonal and planning skills • Friends with Microsoft Office – Well versed in working on Word, Excel, Adobe and SharePoint and get excited to fix glitches. • Independent and Accountable to make fact-based decisions, and effectively hold project participants to standards and timelines whilst being a team player.
