The Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Canada Marketing Specialist is a full-time opportunity reporting to the Manager, Brand Marketing. Based in Toronto, this role will be accountable for development and execution of multi-channel content, including management of RMHC Canada social channels. The Marketing Specialist will work closely with McDonald’s, RMHC Regional Chapters, National Donor Partners, and key RMHC stakeholders to collaboratively enhance storytelling through content strategy and design, with the goal of increasing RMHC Canada’s brand awareness, understanding, relevance, and revenue.

Duties
In addition to following McDonald’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:


Graphic Design, Content Strategy & Execution

Manage and create core RMHC Canada brand assets across internal and external channels, ensuring consistency and accuracy in Visual Identity.
Monitor RMHC Visual Identity use across Canada through consistent tracking and engagement
Responsible for monthly ideation and tracking of Mission and family stories for internal and external channel amplification.
Excellent written communications skills to support with first content drafts of marketing and communications materials (email, social copy, internal communications, etc.)
Support organizational communications by creating branded materials such as presentations, internal updates, leadership messaging and print materials.
Contribute to the execution of large-scale brand initiatives that assist with raising awareness, understanding, relevance and donations for RMHC across Canada
Act as the main point-of-contact for RMHC Canada’s National Partnerships team, leading strategy, ideation and execution for partner content needs
Lead graphic design and implementation of content for all national partner engagement, including ideation for social media, website, brand campaigns, etc.
Assist with special partnerships projects as needed (i.e., The Great Games Challenge - RMHC Canada’s national fundraising event).
Manage key fundraising channels on behalf of the partnerships team, including Benevity, and social media monitoring.

Digital and Social Media Engagement

Lead RMHC Canada’s social media presence across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok), including strategy, editorial calendar management, content creation, posting, community management, performance tracking and reporting.
Responsible for social listening, monitoring industry trends and sharing insights and best practices with internal teams and RMHC’s network of Regional Chapters across Canada on a regular basis.
Lead the strategy, integration and ideation of website content experience on RMHC.ca in partnership with agency partners.
Working closely with the Marketing Supervisor, manage select digital program executions and oversee website content updates and CRM tools to support mission awareness and donor engagement.
Lead content creation across all RMHC Canada’s digital ecosystem, including website, CRM, and beyond.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Graphic Design, Arts, Business, Digital and/or Marketing Communications related field.
2-5 years of experience in Graphic Design, Digital, Social, Marketing or Communications.
High level of strategic thinking and tactical ability to pull through projects from initiation to deliverable.
Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment and lead/support multiple high priority projects.
Team player, who can provide overall organization bench strength and collaboration across a broad range of projects and initiatives.
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills and proven ability to work with multi-disciplined teams.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Well organized, resourceful, with excellent multi-tasking and prioritizing skills and the ability to work within tight deadlines while still maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to navigate, orchestrate, and work through complex issues with a strategic and tactical perspective.

Tools & Technical Skills

Proficient in Adobe Suite, or other design software for static and video content.
Experience with Salesforce and Brandwatch is considered an asset but is not mandatory.
