Job purpose
As a Specialist - Software Development, you will act as a matter expert with a pro-active mindset within the development team. You will develop corrective solutions to troubleshooting and focus on best practice to deliver the best product design and functionalities.
What will you do?
Be part of a development team to implement technical standards and global organization solutions
• Develop and enhance Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views with strong expertise in Pl/SQL Programming.
• Unix Commands, Unix Shell Scripting
• Performance Tuning.
• Evaluate changes and perform impact analysis
• Work with functional staff to establish and clarify requirements
• Investigates and corrects software defects and analyzes and maintains data quality
• Prepares comprehensive documentation and ensures timely completion of assigned work
• Troubleshooting technical issues
• Maintain and improve the functionalities of current software products
• Assure the quality, readability, robustness, security and long-life of the software
• Take part in the design of the software architecture in new software projects
• Participate in redesigning the system and preparing technical documentation will be required
• Follow-up of the organization technical standards
What do you need to know?
• 8+ years’ experience with PL/SQL , Oracle database 12c and above
• Unix Commands, Unix Shell Scripting is must
• Extensive knowledge of Oracle performance tuning
• Expertise in developing complex Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages
• Airline domain background preferred.
• Knowledge of Relational database concepts, relational logical modeling, best practices, and physical design.
• Proficiency in Software Development Life Cycle
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Experience building complex systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams and management to collect requirements, identify tasks, provide estimates and meet production deadlines
• Strong hands-on exposure to technological stack
• Strong development skills, understanding of new concepts
• Good organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks
• Able to work in teams and across various teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Degree in Software Engineering
