Job Overview:
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team and help us deliver great products and services that will delight our customers. You will be part of a team that’s responsible for ensuring all services within an area of focus are deployable and well-maintained.
An ideal candidate is excited to take the reins to improve system reliability, performance, and availability. You are passionate about improving the ease of deployment, creating faster turn-around on features and fixes. And you are always curious to find new ways to develop and deploy our services.
Key Responsibilities:
Regular maintenance of Java-based Microservices, including maintenance, optimizations, and feature improvements
Improve CI/CD of existing services to improve ease and speed at which changes can be made.
Identify architecture optimizations that improve cost and/or reliability.
Execute improvements collaboratively with service owners.
Participate as an individual contributor in an agile team.
Qualifications:
4-6 years of software development experience.
Experience with CI/CD tooling and improving the usability of CI/CD pipelines.
Experience working in existing codebases.
Java and JVM ecosystem knowledge
Additional Technical Experience
SQL and NoSQL Datastores (Mongo, Postgres, Redis)
Kafka
Observability Experience and Practices, preferred ELK Stack
Prometheus for Monitoring
Jenkins, Docker and Kubernetes (CI/CD)
Ideal Backgrounds:
DevOps
DevSecOps
