Job Purpose
This is a front office role which will be engaged in a dynamic trading floor environment. It primarily involves assisting trading in FX and INR interest rates products to achieve independent and desk budgets as well as interbank market making in the above products and continuous quoting of prices to sales for executing franchise client flows, The role involves active management of risk, liquidity and exposure in the relevant products and driving all aspects of the desk which include but are not limited to pre-trade analysis, trade execution, optimal risk management of trades within prescribed limits.
Key Accountabilities
• Contribute to overall trading desk related BAU activities including managing client flows
• Understand market drivers, essential macro trends and their correlation with domestic assets and be ready to form/communicate independent views on the same
• Understand firm’s approach and policies for managing desk risk and applicable legal/regulatory rules
• Actively take part in tech/non-tech new initiatives of the desk for augmenting client flows or sharpening trading profitability
