About the Roles:
Micro Bird USA LLC is seeking a Specialized Assembler - Mechanic. The Specialized Assembler – Mechanic
is responsible for diagnosing and repairing our buses to ensure they operate safely and efficiently and includes the requirement of driving the bus on public roads in all weather conditions. This position requires a deep understanding of automotive systems, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of work.


What you will do regularly:
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in our buses.
Perform repairs on a wide range of vehicle components, including engines, transmissions, axels, brakes, suspensions, electrical systems, etc. This work is performed both during the assembly process and on complete vehicles requiring further adjustment or repair.
Test drive a bus on public roads and identify mechanical and electrical issues that arise during the drive. This includes monitoring the vehicle’s performance, identifying unusual sounds, vibrations, or performance drops, and troubleshooting issues live.
Proactively identify potential mechanical issues before they disrupt production. Suggest and implement improvements in equipment maintenance and overall production processes to improve reliability and efficiency.
Collaborate with production supervisors, engineers, and other maintenance technicians to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to optimize vehicle assembly processes.
Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications.
Assist in the training of junior team members.
Maintain and clean equipment, tools, and work area
Follow all Company and motor vehicle operator safety protocols and guidelines.


Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver’s license is required.
ASE Certification preferred.
5 years of experience as a mechanic or technician, preferably in an automotive manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and production equipment.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and automated machinery.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues.
Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform accurate repairs.

Ability to Travel to Drummondville, Canada to train. (Proper Documentation is required, i.e. Passport/Enhanced License to cross US/CA Border)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.
Ability to work in a manufacturing setting with varying temperatures.
Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance; reach with hands and arms including overhead; stoop, kneel, crouch. Standing, walking, operating equipment for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).
