Healthcare Executive Placements, Inc. (HCEPInc) is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a W2 Contract position based in Los Angeles, California.
Schedule: Full time, 5 8's Days, M - F
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks with high likelihood of extending
Hourly Rate: This position offers an hourly rate between $55.00 to $57.00 which equates to $2,200 to $2,400 per week (based on a 40-hour workweek.

Summary:
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to patients with communication and swallowing disorders. This role is responsible for conducting comprehensive evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions across inpatient and outpatient settings. The SLP collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes while ensuring compliance with hospital, state, and regulatory standards.
Essential Functions:
Conducts thorough speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing evaluations.
Develops and implements individualized treatment plans tailored to patient needs and goals.
Provides therapeutic interventions for speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
Performs and interprets Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) as part of comprehensive swallowing assessments (preferred).
Conducts pediatric speech and language evaluations as clinically appropriate (preferred).
Educates patients, caregivers, and families regarding treatment goals, strategies, and progress.
Collaborates with physicians, nurses, occupational and physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to support integrated patient care.
Maintains accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, and progress in accordance with organizational standards.
Participates in departmental quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and professional development activities.
Ensures compliance with professional practice standards, state licensure requirements, and hospital policies.
Qualifications:
Current Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of California (CA Lic) required.
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in inpatient and/or outpatient settings required.
Experience performing Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) preferred.
Experience in pediatric speech/language evaluations preferred.
Strong knowledge of evidence-based practice, therapeutic interventions, and patient-centered care strategies.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient engagement skills.
Ability to manage a diverse caseload in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare environment.
