Job Description
Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP
Assist with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy activities
Reinforce communication strategies in individual and group settings
Monitor and document student progress, reporting updates to supervising SLPs
Support teachers and staff in integrating speech and language goals into classroom activities
Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and district guidelines
Participate in professional development and stay current with best practices
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (Bachelor’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders preferred)
Active SLPA license/certification in the state of AK (per state requirements for school-based practice)
Knowledge of speech and language development
Experience working with school-aged children preferred
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Work in a structured, school-based setting with built-in school holidays
