About the Role:
India Designer Show is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sponsorship Generation Specialist to secure strategic partnerships and generate significant sponsorship revenue for the India Designer Show. This crucial role will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and closing sponsorship deals with relevant brands and organizations looking to connect with the influential audience and vibrant atmosphere of the show. The ideal candidate will be a persuasive communicator, a skilled negotiator, and possess a strong understanding of the Indian sponsorship landscape.
Responsibilities:
• Sponsorship Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive sponsorship strategy aligned with the overall goals and target audience of the India Designer Show.
• Prospect Identification & Research: Identify and research potential sponsors across various industries (e.g., luxury goods, fashion, technology, lifestyle, automotive, real estate) that align with the show's brand and audience.
• Lead Generation & Outreach: Proactively generate leads and conduct outreach to potential sponsors through various channels (networking, cold outreach, industry events).
• Proposal Development: Create compelling and customized sponsorship proposals that clearly articulate the benefits and value proposition for each potential partner.
• Negotiation & Closing: Effectively negotiate sponsorship agreements to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes and meet revenue targets.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with sponsors, ensuring their needs are met and their partnerships are successful.
• Sponsorship Fulfillment & Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, event operations, logistics) to ensure the seamless fulfillment of sponsor benefits and deliverables.
• Market Analysis & Reporting: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and sponsorship best practices in the Indian market. Track and report on sponsorship efforts and revenue generation.
• Budget Management: Manage the budget allocated for sponsorship acquisition activities.
• Networking & Representation: Represent the India Designer Show at relevant industry events and networking opportunities to identify potential sponsors.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
• 5+ years of proven experience in sponsorship sales, business development, or a similar role, preferably within the events, media, or luxury sectors in India.
• Strong understanding of the Indian sponsorship market and the motivations of potential sponsors.
• Excellent sales, negotiation, and closing skills with a proven track record of achieving revenue targets.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
• Strong research and analytical skills to identify and evaluate potential sponsors.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software.
• Willingness to travel within India as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Existing network of contacts within relevant industries for sponsorship opportunities in India.
• Experience working with high-profile events or within the design and luxury market in India.
• Familiarity with sponsorship valuation and ROI analysis.
