Our client is searching for an energetic and highly organized Sports Event Coordinator to join their fully remote team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about sports and event management who thrives in a virtual environment. You will be instrumental in planning, organizing, and executing a variety of sports-related events, ensuring seamless operations and engaging experiences for participants and stakeholders, all managed from the convenience of your home office. While the role is remote, the focus is on coordinating events that may occur across various physical locations.
Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate all aspects of sports events, from initial concept to post-event analysis. Develop detailed event plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Source and manage vendors, including venue providers, catering services, equipment suppliers, and promotional partners. Create marketing and promotional materials to drive event registration and attendance. Manage event registration processes and provide support to participants. Oversee event logistics, including scheduling, transportation, and accommodation where applicable. Coordinate with sports leagues, athletes, and teams to ensure smooth participation. Develop and implement safety and security plans for events. Manage event budgets and track expenses to ensure financial targets are met. Liaise with internal teams (e.g., marketing, operations) and external stakeholders to ensure cohesive execution. Handle on-site event coordination (if required, or delegate to local teams) ensuring all elements run according to plan. Conduct post-event evaluations, gather feedback, and prepare comprehensive reports on event success and areas for improvement. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in sports event management. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners and sponsors. Qualifications:
Proven experience in event planning and management, with a focus on sports events. Strong understanding of sports operations and event logistics. Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills. Proficiency in event management software and project management tools. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and proactively in a remote setting. Budget management experience. A passion for sports and a keen eye for detail. Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Business, or a related field is preferred. Flexibility to work outside standard business hours as event schedules demand.
