We Seek:
A full-time Sportswear Fashion Designer to work with the founding team based in New Delhi, India, with some flexibility for remote work. We are not looking to work with Freelancers.
The designer shall execute the following responsibilities, broadly classified:
1. Designing technical sportswear that works as hard as the woman who dons it:
• Conducting exhaustive market examination: on-ground and off-ground
• Conceptualizing the designs
• Creating hand sketches, digitals, fashion flats and selecting colours
• Integrating the ergonomics and designing high-performance garments
2. Developing true-to-size tech packs and conducting fitting sessions: Developing a detailed product blueprint which will be communicated to our manufacturing partner(s)
3. Fabric selection: Appointing fabrics based on performance and aligning them with the design and purpose of the garment
4. Interacting with principal stakeholders and participating in manufacturing unit/factory visits
5. Assessing product prototypes and examining their performance based on internal KPIs and feedback from our Athlete Advisory Board; integrating the feedback and making design iterations accordingly
6. Collaborating with the social media team to devise strategy and provide content support
Your Experience:
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in sportswear fashion design and related textiles
• Must possess a strong grasp of requisite tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office and other design software
• Experience with creating true-to-size fittings and creating compression apparel
• Strong knowledge of fabric and material properties
• Excellent sketching and visualization skills
• Excellent communication skills: written and verbal
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fashion Design
• Passion for sports and promoting athleticism
• Ability to challenge conventional designs and not be daunted by hard work
